Does anyone else do this? Play a game while planing a render or something?

I am playing a game but my main focus in on planing my story, writing, rendering, and thinking about life.  The game is okay but my main focus is on thinking things through.  Does anyone else do that?  or is it just me?

Sounds like you’re meditating while gaming. I guess its the same as going for a walk to help inspiration. I found pubg great for this, since a part is actually waiting and walking. (When you do a full game)

Sort of, but not working on the renders but thinking of the renders while playing the game for example while DS (or Poser) is rendering or when installing that needed piece to that render you are working on.

When I am at work I have to draw sketches on sticky notes or I won't be able to concentrate on work for trying to remember the idea I wanted to render!
When I'm waiting for a render to finish I switch computers and play Star Wars Battle Front 1 - still as fun for me today as when I started playing when it first came out. <shrug>

I don't really combine gaming with rendering but I do like to play console games. My wife gets irritated with me because she thinks they are a waste of time (meanwhile, she's watching reality TV shows).  But for me it's a chance to turn off my brain and decompress. I'll go into, say, Fallout 4, and start building a village. All the while not a thought about the bills or my job or any of that intrudes. My brain is working but the parts that process "worry" and "stress" totally shut down.

3D modeling does the same for me, until hexagon crashes and I lose everything. Then the stress comes back!

Agreed. My GF used to give me a hard time at how much time I spent on the PC in gamer mode, which was usually 50% playing and 50% modding. Then I installed SIMS4 when it was released and she became addicted, LOL. I had to build her a dedicated PC just for SIMS, LOL. I wish I could get her into tactical shooters, would be great fun to have a live in COOP teammate, LOL. I have tried getting her into Fallout 4, but it's hopeless. She does seem to be mildly interested in the Hunter, Call of the Wild so we'll see how that progresses.

I don't get ideas for renders from games, mostly real life and other media. Besides, I hate consoles, PC only and when i am tied into renders, there isn't enough resources left for gaming, so it's usually one or the other.

I left my iPad with my mummy but I brought my coloring pencils and some coloring books.  Well most of them are for adults but one is for kids.  No not that kind of adult coloring book but one an adult would enjoy better than a kid.

While my PC is rendering I play Command and Conquer
on my laptop and surf the net on my Linux box.
Like I'm doing now. Just turtled down, collecting resources.
    Does that make me tripolar?
