Erasing Eyebrows and Replace with Fibremesh Ones?

How do you make your character's own-face-texture eyebrows invisible when you use fibremesh eyebrows instead?

Thanks!

You can use an image editor to copy a section of skin, or use a healing function, on each map or you can use something like https://www.daz3d.com/brow-remover-for-daz-studio for suported figures.

I've yet to find a face that Brow Remover doesn't do a great job on. And it will remove the brows on all the maps at the same time. And you can save your changes to a no-brow preset. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

ETA: Richard's reply wasn't there when I started this post. smiley

However if fibre mesh brows are the right color and shape the unlying texture brows might be invisible.

Indeed, and having a texture still in place can also help fill out and compliment the fiber brows and produce a more natural look.

But yes, the brow remover really does work well. It basically does what you would do in an editor, and that it does this to all textures rapidly is pretty impressive. The only time it might not work is if the forehead has a lot of texture details, like a scar over where the script copies the skin. This would be pretty rare, though. It does not overwrite any existing textures.

That's what slows me down with the fiber brows as they often don't look convincing or as good straight on. I'll have to try that.

It can really work well if executed right. Fiber brows by themselves look too sharp and strong. What fiber mesh tends to miss are the hair follicles, you just have that hair coming out of nothing from the skin, it can look unnatural. That's where having the hair texture on the face can help. The tricky part is trying to match the color well enough.

I too recommend using Fiber brows over top of the excisting eyebrow on the texture.  The two together will look better then just the fiber brow by itself

It may also depend on the fibermesh brows, as to whether or not the underlying brows on the face will improve the look; Redz Super Natural brow products are impressive. Here is a wip with G8M characters created using Growing Up and using the G3M Growing Up, no-brow skin and Redz brows.

    Teen Brothers

And here's one with Archie, shortly after Redx brows were released. I replaced the brows that come with Archie, so I suspect it's a no-brow material. I'll have to check the next time I fire up the beast.

I might be a little biased, but I don't use textured brows at all even under fiber ones.

@ChangelingChick, I don't mind the textured brows on characters in the background…

I think my biggest eyebrow disappointment was Aldo. Not that there is anything wrong with the included fibermesh brows, but the brow version of Aldo's face textures has this really great, bushy, old-man eyebrows. The included fibermesh brows look nothing like the textured brows. (I just checked the product page, and all the promos use the fibermesh brows, so you won't see the textured brows until you have the product.)

There's nothing wrong with textured underneath at all, I just don't like painting them :D

The reason I want to use the fibre mesh eyebrows is that I want to be able to shape the brows somwhat, and place them differently on the face.

Same here. That's why I own Brow Remover, and both "Oh My Brows" and "Super Natural Brows" for G3M/F and G8M/F, respectively, from Redz. Her products have lots of shaping morphs, and Super Natural Brows also has three material zones so you can get a real natural looking color.
