No one has ever done face bandaids?
in The Commons
Strange that I do not see any bandaids.
We have wounds and scars, but it seems no one ever chose to do an actual bandaid.
I've seen the one for the hands/arm, but that is a strange thing to NEVER have in the store.
Maybe after several years and never thinking of it till now - shows how not needed it is.
Bumps and bruises....
Looks like the store is down so my search will have to pause...

Good point, I need that as well, please working for g3 :D
@Griffin I managed to move body bandaids around a bit but it's quite the amount of time as they're already adapted to body shape, probably to work with morphs and movements.
Yeah, I was going to do that or edit the skin texture in photoshop and add a bandaid myself.
Yes, it's the quickest and less expensive way.
You just need a good bandaid 2D image and a good Bump/Displacement/Normal map for that. Once you have those four things, you can position them in your skin textures (use a group to have them always aligned/sized properly.)
But it seems like one of those PC+/Daz Originals. Like someone would make 2 generic bandaids and then place them all over a Genesis 8 Female.
Maybe even sexy poses (arrive a week later) - for looking the bandaid.
I have 3 bandaids with paper sleeves in Everyday Toiletries, but they don't have morphs. so it's a bit tricky to fit them to faces and stuff.
I mention it because I'm right in the middle of updating the pack with improved geometry and an additional Iray version. I didn't change much in the bandaids, but seeing this thread, I may take another look and see if I can add some morphs to them. Funnily enough, not two hours ago, I actually loaded one and added a DFormer to it (I swear this is true!), but it reacted badly, so I dropped the idea. I'd need to rebuild them with new geometry to be able to add morphs.
I make no promises, but I'll see what I can do.
Thanks. I have that set.
And your Everyday Drinks set is incredible.

There is a face bandaid in the riot girl set https://www.daz3d.com/riot-girl-for-genesis-3-female-s
Good catch Rawart! @$24.95, it's a little much for just that bandaid, but I'd love to explore that accessory.
The outfit itself is pretty wicked too, with the shirt around the waist and multiple ways to use it. Definately a must for kitbashing.
Love those stockings....And boots...yeah, Wishlisted for sure....no immediate use, it can wait. Thanks.
BTW, I have your Bar S
Coming soon...
@RiverSoftArt I think it's almost imposssible that you could be working on so many non-related products, but all so needed and helpful.
I remember starting a thread a long time ago about fantasy combinations of vendors...
we're seeing some of that now...
It's real cool.
Thanks
This one was a long time coming... we have been working on it since April. It is awesome working with so many great PAs: Sickleyield, Arki, SF-Design, Karth. I really like doing collaborations.
July though was an uncharacteristically dry month for me with only one release, so it doesn't feel like a lot
However, I am very hopeful that August will be a great month and there will be at least 3 products out this month.
I am SUPER proud of the editor for Skin Doctor: Blood and Bandages for G8M. It actually makes working with LIEs pain free
I did the video in real-time to show the difference in how quickly you can work with the editor.
Obviously, an insta buy for most of us, but do you have any idea how well it will work with G3 figures and earlier?
Also, I don't know how scripting works, but can you do anything with Content Librarian through scripting?
Like SORT by last used, most used...or make it easier to manage our own custom categories. I know there are instructiosn out there and forumites always willing to help, buy what about something that is truly customizable?
If memory is correct there was one for Daz at share3d
@RiverSoftArt can you please make that work on g3 as well? I cant update all my character to g8 or my comic never gets done ...
Seems based on wearables/LIE/geoshells. Wearables are transferrable between G8M/F and G3M/F with tolerable imperfections.
I'm pretty sure LIE is fairly backward/foward compatible, especially since it lets you orient positioning.
Not sure about geoshells tho, it may be the one thing without backward/forward compability.
I like the LIE editor in his product, especially since it does seem faster. Kinda curious if it can be somewhat genericized, like his billboard orient utility, which I find useful for billboards unrelated to his billboard products.
Here's a quick render of my morphing bandaid. The long one has 7 morphs, and the square version 5. No texs as yet, but I'll try and knock up a 'blood seeping through' tex.
As I said, this is part of an update to Everyday Toiletries, so nothing instant. But it *should* be available fairly soon.
Tha looks very promising @maclean ! maybe some sort of surface structire like these small wholes?
It is only for G8M now. We are going to do a G8F next.
At this time, I don't plan to do anything with the Content Librarian.
I would like to. It depends on my collaborators. I still use G3 a lot and want to use it for them.
Yep. I was going to make a tex with tiny perforations - the ones that let the air in. I just haven't had time to get round to it yet.
Hi maclean, These look really good. I have many of your products, and it's great to see when PA's update older products and add new features, especially where more realism is added, or some form of change or addition that has been customer requested. I will certainly buy this quality product again for the updated features.
Kind regards.
Wow, so much collaboration work, skill and time has resulted in another great and useful product, and I like the in-depth explanatory promotional video too. This will be an instant buy for me when it's released.
Thank you! We appreciate your support.
I wanted to make a little video as I thought it was the best way to show the abilities of the editor.
If you already own it, you won't need to buy it. The update will be free.
There is a bandaid in the 'get well soon' bundle. Sadly its only for one hand.....
Nice! I like how you do updates for some of your older products.
It's a fact of modern life that technology changes rapidly. In 3d, that means we have to keep running after it. I just happen to make products which are mostly 'evergreen' and keep on selling, so for me, it makes sense to keep updating them and give them a new lease of life. I wouldn't expect all PAs to do it, because not all products are suitable for updating.
I've got a freebie bandaid with some simple morphs on Sharecg that might work for any urgent care issues until @maclean's is available.
It includes one pre-formed into a loop to go around fingers too.

While I can understand needing to make a living, something like this for just the female and for only one generation is a reason for me not to purchase. It just comes across as nickle and diming the customer. I have the Wounds and Blood for Genesis 8 Female from you and SF and it is a great addon, BUT the only reason I purchased it over other options was because I saw a forum post saying it also works on male and genesis 3 which it does. Guess I'll have to wait and see if this does also once released.
I can certainly understand your feelings. This is one though, that if I had known beforehand how much work it would turn out being, I wouldn't have done it. 3 months of work is not worth it at 1/3 of 50%. That said, the wounds and blood should work (they are surface presets), the bandages should work with auto-fit, and I guess the band-aids (geoshells) should work (haven't tried it though)... just the editor will only work with G8M.
