Can I use Install Manager for items bought on other sites?

If I buy something from Renderosity or any other site, can I use the Install manager to install that item or do I have to install it manually?

    In general, you have to install manually because it is the metadata of the product that does the real work of installation.

    There is a product that will create the manifest files necessary to get the DIM to install things for you-- Content Package Assist.
