Can someone help me make a wet looking eye material/shader?
I'm already using Project Eyeray. It has good results, but it's no where near what should be possible with IRAY.
This is what I'm trying to achieve (REAL PHOTO, not iray):

1st step is have you somewhat replicated the lighting environment of that photo? Someone is in a room that is brightly lit by sunlight through very large windows looking out in the directtion of the large windows. They appear to be at least 10' away from the windows.
I've got a room just like that replicated. Now I"m just trying to tweak the eye materials until I can get it to look like that photo. I'm using Project Eyeray as a base to work from.
What I don't understand is which setting controls the amount of reflection.
Looks like top coat weight 1.0 with .7 reflecitivity is a good way to set a reflection on the cornea.
Take a look at some of the suggestions offered in the thread I'm linking below. They have some good ideas based on the science of how your eye surfaces really work.

You mean like this? You can try my shader. I cant garantee it will meet your satisfaction but maybe hopefully get you closer to home? Thing to remember is that iray isnt perfect. There will never be a such thing as "photo real" with this render engine. But you can get close. This one right here is pretty much my default universal eye shader for G3 and G8. Make sure when you apply it that you replace the Translucency Color to the diffuse maps. If the Cornea is giving you trouble. Highlight it in surfaces and choose the Cornea shader.
Oh and I placed it in the "People" folder to make it more readily available for G3F G3M G8M G8F
I appreciate the responses.
Thanks for your sample Angel, I will go over it!
