Hair Skull cap Issues

So here's the thing, and this is something that I've been running into a lot. If you look at the attached picture, you'll notice there is an odd greenish/blueish discoloration between the braids and along the foreheads along the girls heads. Now I know that this is part of the skull cap for the hair element, and that every hair piece has one. But some are more prominent than others, or at least they appear that way, especially when you're working with a pale skinned blonde.

Now, my issue is, is there a way to get rid of that shadow without making it look like the character is going bald? Is there something in the shading or something that I can adjust to remove/make invisible this shadow? I know that adjusting the fit is the usual way to do it, but when the hair doesn't use all of the skull cap, like the braids in the attached pic, then it's a little difficult to hide.

I'm sure it's something obvious that I'm missing, but I haven't been able to find anything. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Check the opacity of the haircap or cutout opacity... you can adjust the transparency down to suit your needs.

Well tried that, but all that did was make the braids up against the skyll dissappear. The green shadow remained.

Is this hair autofit to the character or is it designed for that character? When autofitting, sometimes I have to scale down the hair to 98% or something to get the skullcap to disappear the way it should. If it isn't autofit, does the skullcap surface also have any settings on translucency in addition to opacity? Screenshots of the surface settings might help.
