Settings in Install Manager

I don't quite understand how to set up Install Manager base on the descriptions in the Help manuals. Maybe it's easier than I realize but what to do with some settings is not clear.

Is there a better tutorial/explanation I can review than what is included in DIM? And before I ask everyone to spend time helping me understand what to do with the settings and how they play together?

    If you are installing content for use in Daz Studio, using the default paths in each, then there's nothing to set up. What are you wanting to do beyond that, or instead of that if you want to use different paths (e.g. to avoid putting your content library on your SSD)?
