Could not open file. Genesis 8.

I'm having an issue. I re installed Genesis 8. But I did so with the Daz Connect. But it changed the directory for Genesis 8. I am trying to place the Directory back to the normal My Library/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8 Folder. I resintalled it again with Manager and I got no icon in my people folder. So I downloaded and manually installed the ZIP archive. But now, when I click on the Icon, I get this message.

Connect installed files must not be moved - you can see them under Daz Studio formats>Daz Connect if you want to access them through that method, rather than via the categories or Smart Content.

K but I dont like that Directory. It messes up my workflow. How do restore?

What are you wanting to achieve? You can just create a short-cut - find the files in the product and drag them into the folder (in My Daz 3D Library?) that you want them in and DS will creat a link that will behave like a file as far as the UI is concerned.

I did drag the files back into My Library but the icon is being a stinker.

I need the icon to stop trying to extract from Connect Library.

If you don't want to use the Connect version you must uninstall it - right-click on the product icon in Smart Content or the folder in the Products list in the Content Library.
