Question regarding things not labeled for DSON

Can things not specifically labeled for DSON for Poser still work in DSON if I go through the process of creating PoserCFs, or is there some other background files that are also present in those files other than mat/pose files?

For instance, Hitomi and Asobi aren't labeled for DSON. If I create PoserCFs for them, can their morphs and mats then be used in Poser via DSON?

Also what about things labeled just DSON Core and not PoserCF.

Things that are just parameter dials without user-facing files will work with the DSON Importer for Poser without need of PoserCF files.

For most items you can save as duf (if they aren't already) and create PoserCF's in DS. Some items don't transfer very well, but most should work.

So even if a product doesn't say anything about DSON Core or whatever simply creating the DUF and PoserCFs (for mats/shape injections/etc) will work with the importer?

You can even get away with no Poser companion file with this script - and it is free :)

That makes my life of using both apps easier. Thanks Kerya.
