Building your own Freak 8 'Bundle'...

So, since we seem to be getting a 'trickle' of releases that would have been good for a Freak 8 bundle, hence probably killing off the chance for an 'official' G8M Freak Pro bundle, let's have some fun.

Which Genesis 8 products would you pick for a Freak 8 bundle?

I'll start:

https://www.daz3d.com/swole-for-genesis-8-male

  • Swole always seems a bit to over the top for my tastes, but nonetheless it'd make sense in this context

https://www.daz3d.com/biggun-for-genesis-8-male

  • Biggun seems to be quite suited for the Hulk, and we did have a similar 'Hulk' oriented character for Freak 5.

https://www.daz3d.com/biggun-poses-for-genesis-8-male

  • Because no bundle is complete unless it comes with poses!

https://www.daz3d.com/dystopian-weapon-cache-1

  • Specifically for this minigun.  Thinking of a certain Jesse Ventura role...  This product is a bit older though, but I like it.

https://www.daz3d.com/muscularity-morphs-for-genesis-8-males

  • This says it includes the SWOLE morphs, so not sure what the 'difference' would be, but this has some targetted morphs, so makes sense...

  • Since this is a 'build your own bundle, why not include a She-Freak!

https://www.daz3d.com/add-some-veins-hd-for-genesis-8

  • For that extra little bit of detail...

https://www.daz3d.com/ronen-character-hair-and-briefs-for-genesis-8-male

  • Not really an 'addon' character, but he fits this theme.

https://www.daz3d.com/massive-morphs-for-genesis-8-male

  • This'd be another way to go r.e. morphs to make your own Freak 8...

https://www.daz3d.com/tactical-assault-outfit-for-genesis-8-males-and-females

  • 'Cuz we could use some appropriate clothing for our Freak 8.  And our She-Freak 8...

https://www.daz3d.com/world-war-ii-u-s-uniform-hd-for-genesis-8-male-s

  • This'd be another way to go with a military themed Freak 8...

https://www.daz3d.com/beast-master-outfit-for-genesis-8-male-s

  • A skimpier outfit for our Freak 8...

Hair?

  • None of the Genesis 8 hairs are screaming out 'Freak 8' to me.  Might have to dip into earlier generation hairstyles if you were looking for a crew cut or something...

Anyways, that should get the discussion rolling!  What (else) would you grab for YOUR build your own 'Freak 8' bundle?

    https://www.daz3d.com/hair-set-for-genesis-8-male-s for the short hair.

Freak is now a "trigger" word so Swole pretty much is the Freak Character.

I'm a romance novelist, so I use a lot of male characters. Which is possibly a little off topic since the objective is guys who look roughly realistic. But I wanted to share a trick I used you might be interested in.

I used Ronen as a base (for the normal maps that add veins and muscularity) and added various surface skins as the diffuse, then fiddled around using Altern8 (for the Iray settings for translucency, SSS, etc. ( https://www.daz3d.com/altern8--skin-shader-system-for-genesis-8)  In this cover, Cameron was used as the difuse texture in this image (https://www.daz3d.com/phx-cameron-for-michael-8), over Ronen normal maps and Altern8 settings. So it's kind of a kit bash, I guess.

My main issue with SWOLE is the shiny skin.  I like prefer how the Massive promo character looks more, but of course you can use any skin with that character.   I'd assume that you could also use other skins for Swole, but to me SWOLE isn't the same as the Freak.  But then characters do change and evolve over generations (Aiko is a good example of this), so that's just my personal opinion.

Nonetheless, SWOLE does fit the Freak theme, hence the inclusion.  Plus the 'in between' muscularity morphs are a nice bridge, and do look rather nice.

That turned out REALLY cool! :D Nicely done! :) And thanks for using Altern8!

Agreed.  That does look quite nice, and I'm sure has helped the sales for that book.
