Question about building sets and parrenting pieces

I am looking to build a few sets that can be moved in their entirity using the transforms controls (translate & rotate).  I want to set them up with sub catagories, for instance have a catagory named "room" with sub catagories parrented to it and then have the individual components parrented to the sub catagories walls, floors, ceilings, etc.  How would I go about doing thsi in Daz.  I know how to parent in Daz but don;t know how to set up the different catagories and parent the catagories together.

Create a new GROUP. Select the items you want to gather together and then under the CREATE header is New Group..

Then you can select the entire group and move it around.
