I'm not in a position to buy a new card right now, despite having mine since 2013, so best I can do is talk about video cards. :)
I haven't been paying attention to cards in a couple of months, and even then I wasn't up on what the next generation of nVidia cards will mean for Daz Studio users. I do know that accursed cryptocurrency bubble is finally deflating, and card prices are coming way down.
What are you guys' thoughts for someone hoping to buy in 6 months or so? I doubt I'll have a budget over $500. Should I be thinking buy a discounted card from this generation, or the best card I can afford from the next? What are the considerations that 3d/Daz Studio/Iray users have, that gamers don't (game sites and reviews are a dime a dozen but there's almost nothing out there tailored for iRay users)?
