Hide Large Sections of a figure?

I'm trying to hide large sections of a cyborg figure to be specific. I only need the right arm so I have to go in and hide all the small parts of the rest of the figure. Is there any way to highlight large sections of the figure in the Scene panel and hide them all at once?

Yes, seelct them all then use the Visible button in the Parameters pane.
