I have been having this issue since I moved to Daz 4.10 on my Windows 10 system I upgraded to and its Killing my productivity.

I have used a diffrent mouse and the problem persists
there is a thread that uses something called AutoHotkey scripts and that acutally Doens't work eather

the problem is persists even using the Alt-Ctrl though viewport method with the AutoHotkey script, even upping the delay timing 200ms it still presists (which makes camera movements stiff and unresponsive feeling anyhow)

it seems like the mouse gets thrown up and to the right when this happens and it seems entirely random
this even happens with the tool icons on the left of the View Cube, where often it throws the camera's focal lenth to 0 ( right mouse button and moving to the right on the magnifing glass)

So far it just seems to be with the camera controls, i have noticed that at times it would like to throw dails way out, but that has allways been a behavior of Daz for me, but i have never seen it do this with the simple camera control

Yes, it's highly annoying. I'm hoping 4.11 makes me happy:

"The Camera Cube tool now accounts for ERC driven values on a given node to address a possible “jump” when clicked"

I acutally just discovered it appears to be a VERY spifica mouse movement that seems to do this

its a click with an imediate movement to the SW diaongal dirrection, which is the exact opposite directing the camera is thrown

Interesting. If 4.11 doesn't fix it, I'd say you're video would be quite useful as an attachment to a bug report.

Currently, I work around the issue by assuming it's always going to jump, then not releasing the mouse button until I have camera positioned where I want it, i.e., 'clicking' as few times as possible to minimize the frustration.

well i might be a tiny bit wrong on the spific movement that causes it, but the fact i can just about make it happen in rapid secession is very alarming

This seems to be a combination of issues - it affects people on other versions of Windows, and it happens in other applications. Note that there is also an issue with figues jumping with the pose controls, which is a DS issue and is listed as fixed in 4.11.x.x

I found that when I click to move and hold the mouse still for a second or 2 before trying to rotate, it doesn't jump around on me.

This i did notice, but again the point of the complain is that it is ruining my work flow and it makes using Daz a fustrating exprance

again i always though this was just a general issue with Daz, i have noticed anytime the model has a pose dial'd, like hand grasp or such
that the fingers will snap tyring to use the powerposer
and yes figure jumping with pose controls

but Never have i seen it happen with the camera
needless to say, i hope it does get fixed sooner rather then later

Yeah, not saying it's an acceptable work-around, just saying that at least until they come out with a real fix, at least it keeps the view from getting messed up and having to try and find your view angle again.

OT, but I so wanted to reply to the topic of the thread with a smart alec response...

Stop feeding the mouse coffee beans and maybe he won't be so jumpy!
