Disappearing Mouse

Hi,

Lately, my mouse has been disappearing during my use of Daz Studio.  I've already submitted a support ticket for this, but I've seen a lot of threads about this issue.  It seems to disappear just after I've dragged on a parameter dial.  The mouse is still visible in other applications - just not Daz Studio.   I've tried adjusting my graphics settings.  My graphics drivers are reasonably up-to-date.  I've tried changing from one 3d viewport display mode to another (say, Textured to Wireframe) but nothing seems to bring the cursor back except restarting Daz Studio.  Is there anything else I can do??

the same problem here, I reboot the software,  the cursor going on the 5th dimension is just one of some bugs ocasionally appearing in DS.

I've noticed also that it doesn't seem to happen if I stick to using just the Universal Tool gizmo.  But as soon as I start dragging dials there a momentary stutter and then no mouse - it's driving me nuts.

After some further experiments I've discovered something more.  Sometimes I have a parameter dial that's only partially visible within the Parameters Pane.  If I hover the mouse over this dial, the Daz UI reacts by scrolling the pane up slightly so that the dial is now completely visible.   I'm finding that if I start dragging on the dial's handle *before* this momentary scroll-up action can occur, then the mouse glitch happens.   I don't believe that it has anything to do with my video card settings, and my Nvidia drivers are already fully up-to-date.

  • I noticed some time ago (talking years) that if I inadvertantly pressed the right mouse button while the left button was depressed, I would lose the mouse cursor.  I submitted a trouble ticket on it at the time.  Recently (this year) my middle tinger twitched and I saw that the bug is still there.  Sigh.
