Can I select part of an object

Hi all. So there are these gloves that when clicked to be invisible, they completely take off the persons arm. As if to say once you apply them, they replace the hands. So my question is, is there a way select one glove and delete the other one completely? If so, can you please tell me like I'm an idiot, as Im still a bit new to Daz 3d.
