HELP! Disappearing render

Okay first off, I'm running on a Mac, and I suspect that is going to make a difference. Windows users probably won't be able to tell me where what has disappeared is hiding.

I'm 1 day, 17and a half hours into a render. The render is 74% complete. I'm not at all enthusiastic about the prospect of abandoning it. But now the render window has disappeared and I don't know where it disappeared to.

I had both the program window and the window of the render in the dock to be out of the way while I was reading a .pdf. I clicked on the program window to being it back. It came back. I clicked on the render window to bring it back and it swooped out of the Dock and appeared to have gone behind the program window. I might have accidentally clicked on the program window, so that would be understandable.

I moved the program window; no render window. I sent the program window back to the Dock. No render window.

The program window indicates that the render is still rendering, but where is it? The only programs running are the Finder, DAZ Studio, my font manager -- which doesn't have a window open -- and, at the moment, Safari.

There is nothing in any of Studio's about an active Render window. So how do I bring it back?

Have you tried switching to Mission Control view (F3)? That usually finds lost windows.

Didn't know about that one. I'll make a note of it. I finally gave up and canceled. Was able to save the partial render at least.

    Thanks much!
