Used to be able to see all parameters at once, now can't

i used to be able to click on an item (in  paramaters or materials tab or wherever) and it would show all the items contained under that. Like click pose controls -> expressions and all the expressions would list.  Or click on a bone and see all the rotations (bend, twist, FWD/BK) and the tranalations and the scaling paramaters at the same time  Now I click on those and see - nothing. To see rotations I need to drill in and click on rotations. To see scale I have to go back up and drill into scaling.  It's like this for all my menus now.

What did I do wrong to change this behavior and make it so unfriendly and how do I change it back?

There is a checkbox in the bottom of the pane (parameters pane or whatever pane) called 'Show Sub Items'. Is it checked?

That did it. I must have accidentally clicked it, I didn't even know it was there. After all these years, go figure. Thanks Toonces.
