thanks, nicstt. i had no idea that lights and cameras might be included in the simulation calculations. so it never occurred to me to turn them off.

My main issue with almost all of these hair sets it that the hairlines are just too low. Look at some photos of real women for comparison--higher foreheads are both very common and attractive! I would love vendors like OOT to make some long hair with more of this look. Also, behind the ear/shoulder morphs are very useful but not all sets include these. My 2 cents!
https://www.daz3d.com/classic-long-hair-with-dforce-for-genesis-8-females is the best long hair product I've come across and believe me, I own most of OOT hair products, but when this one came out, it was just a no brainer.
I don't think it does with cameras, but turning everything off makes sure nothing is missed. But there is that button for Visible in Simulation, even on a camera; so does that have a performance impact? No idea for sure on a camera, but it certainly does on some items.
Sorry to necro this thead but I too am still searching:
- Short/shorter styles of Linday's dForce Classic Long Hair that drapes to the shoulder or just below the ears.
- dForce versions of 3D Universe's Amber and Heidi hair.
Also, yes the hairline (too low) and volume (too thick) are some of the issues that still needed to be addressed as well.
