Request to vendors: Universal formatting system.

Hi out there! I first want to say what terrific quality vendors we have! I would like to make a request for all of you to get on board with a universal formatting system. So what the heck does that mean?  At the moment, I have comprised two parts: Enviroments, and labels.

Enviroments: There are some very grand enviroments out there which take render times into the next century. While I know some enviromets you can remove elements you don't need and some are already modular, I am requesting, if it is at all possible, to make enviroments in this type of format by using groups. For example: You have a two roomst with porps in each. You could group each room individually then the props for each room making four total groups(2 rooms and 2 sets of props one for each room). That way we can eliminate what we don't need and reduce render times and speed up creation times(by not spending a large amout of time deleting what we dont need). This can be done for outdoor areas to. Just have seperate sections.

Labels: This is a big one. With multiple generations, and characters, sometimes, it's hard to keep track of who belongs with what. I prepose vendors begin labeling with these factors in mind. Maybe a label format like

Generation

Character(if applicable)

Type

Gender(if applicable)

Placement(if applicable)

color(if applicable)

What it is.

Example: Lets say I have a make-up blue eye shadow option for Gen 8 female.  It would be G8(generation) Mat(type) F(female) blue(color) Eye shadow(what is it) g8 f blue eye shadow. A universal male left hand pose for a gun: U(generation(U for universal in this case)) pose(type it's a pose) male(gender which can also use U(universal)) left hand(placement) gun(what it is(for in this case)).

A tan Skin option for the new elenora figure: g8 Elenora mat tan skin. In this case, gender color placement were not needed.

It's just an idea. to help speed up work flow. Let me know what you think and as always, thanks for reading!

If you use the Smart Content pane then having Filter by Selection on should show items for the selected figure, if you use the Content Library then things shold already be groups under People>Figure name for the Daz Studio Formats.

Should be more easier naming the folders with the type of Content, actually you have the name of the PA, then the name of the figure compatible and so on.

I've created Big Categorized Folders named: PEOPLE, MATERIALS, PROPS, HAIR, VEHICULES, 3Delight ONLY, iRay Only....and ADULT DUFs devil
