I'm not having much luck on the "Get 2 these...Free" with todays Dog Days offer. I have all but one of them already - could really have done with the Sheep and Pig to be included (already have the lamb and piglet). You could herd sheep and pigs with dogs so it would fit. :-(

:sigh: Canadian. No World Cup discount banner for me either. Them's the breaks, eh?

None for those of us in DAZ's home country either.

There weren't any special country discounts :)

There are - people whose address is in one of the countries that have qualyfied for the quarter finals of the world cup have got a green banner coupon. As PixelTizzyFit is in the Russia they should have got the banner.

Oh, I'd never expected that kind of targetting! Poor Dutchies, no discount for us >>

This seems kind of unfair, rewards for past purchases make sense but rewarding people based on their geographical location? Seems like discrimination to me...

  • Charlie JudgeCharlie Judge Posts: 13,281

No special incentive for me in today's sale. I already own all the items that are free with purchase of a Dog Days new release. Maybe we should get a coupion for that instead of a geographical one that I don't qualify for. laugh

Does that geographical discount really exist, or was that just a wish?

Yeah, I'm more of a fan of the Drake Cup anyways...

...so how do they know which team you support?

It's the location of a DAZ customer's billing address that qualifies for the World Cup discount, not a DAZ customer's nationality.

I've little interest in "footeh" but can't help but be delighted at the prospect of a relocated Scot's sputtering acceptance of a 70% English discount.

...so all of us in the US are automatically out since our team didn't even qualify.

Thanks for that @L'Adair !  Boy am I ever well aware of MM!! for sure as I won't even go there with # of pages added blush this year...Is why I cannot quit my day job smiley .. this is good to know..saving up for Black Friday... (and a larger hard drive) so I am guessing the "PA Festival" is in the Fall.. seems like DAZ has some regular great weekend deals too..

You're welcome. When one is new to the hobby or the store, it helps to know when the big event sales are. But as @Ati pointed out, there's always something going on. And sometimes the short sales, not part of the daily turnover at Daz Midnight™, have even better discounts than the event sales!

The discount is for your country of residence getting to the quarter finals not getting to the semi finals.

You should raise a support ticket, the message says that they're contact all customers with teams that have made it to the quarter finals.

The semi-finals are France vs Belgium and England vs Croatia.

We got a 2 for 1 on Novichok, so these offers can be a mixed blessing.

I'm in the Netherlands and in the same boat - and I don't feel left out either. I've already won by not having to endure a month of everything being soccer smiley

Here's an idea-   people should get rewards for their states when their teams made it to the Superbowl...or almost make it....  just to keep it balanced.

SInce I didn't lose out on anything, I am totally happy with others getting a bonus. Daz Sales are not a zero sum game.

I enjoyed the generous discount and I'm very grateful for it, but it pales in comparison to knowing that an entire generation will wake for the first time to know how it feels when there's a possibility that the England football team might actually win something! :)

DAZ should have a random generator where it pickes a handful, not a set number of users to get a coupon daily. That would be fun and cool to see IMO. But then again you would get users with that modern whacked mentality that everyone is a winner and deserves a trophy getting mad because they didn't get one, LOL
