My "favorite" dforce quirk on older clothing is when buttons go flying off the screen. You'd think they would drop to the floor, but they just go off somewhere...
I appreciate your input but I respectfully do not accept it on the grounds that the world is an amazing place, can suprise us and I REALLY REALLY want an updated, current uniform! :P :P SO I'm going to keep hoping!
(this message was sent in the most light hearted tone.)
Maybe at the seams on the cuffs, or perhaps the collars. Canvas is, at most, as thick as denim. 1/8th inch is closer to terry or fleece. (I also can't picture 3-4 years as being "too long" to go between uniforms. Hers may not be pristine white, but it has barely hit eggshell, let alone ecru, but to each their own on that count.)
Back on the topic of virtual martial arts uniforms... I hope we will see a new one, prepped for dForce, with a fully separate belt. As I said, I haven't tried to autofit the current one to Generation 3, let alone 8 (I realize it's just one more step) but I'd hate to loose the nice drapes this one has.
The G2 uniform does work well on G3 and G8 but it tends to bunch up in the under arm and chest area. No judgement there on the artist, I'm sure it's the best that could be done way back when it was made and it's definitely my Go To option when it comes to that kind of picture.
+1
It works with all sorts of clothing; sometimes with the default setting, but more often tweaking is required.
All dForce is, is a set of parameters added to the cloth materials. It works on... well, not quite everything. Due to the limits of this current first version of dForce, working cloth needs to be created in a certain way, otherwise it'll fall apart when D|S begins to run a dynamics simulation. All the current dForce-capable clothes are made in this "right" way, but the interesting thing is that many older clothes also just happened to be made this way as well. The only real drawback is you can't tell for sure if a given piece of pre-dForce cloth will work, until you add the new parameters to the materials and try it out. Hopefully later versions of dForce will be more flexible in what types of cloth it'll be able to use.
