Memorial Day Sale.. ?

How does one view all the items in the sale? Right now from https://www.daz3d.com/05-28-memorial-day-site-wide-sale, I can only browse artist-by-artist, and just don't have the time for that.
I'd rather see 'all sci-fi items', 'all genesis items' etc.
Is there a way?

Since almost every item in the store is included (excluding new and pc+, and maybe some more), you can just use the store filters. Go to the store frontpage, and choose the sci-fi genre in the genre dropdown filter. Or use genesis in the figure filter. Etc.
DId that, and the two items I found and added ended up not being in the sale, hence the question! :)
Almost everything in the store that is not new and not PC+ is in the sale. So trying to view all items at once woul result in a huge number of pages. The best thing might be to just pick out items from your wishlist that show a 40% or more discount.
Anything that is in the sale should show up initially as a 40% or sometimes 41% discount which will increase as you get 3 or more in your cart if you have the fabulous daz browser plugin by @ati to display the %s
I'll look for that plugin, thanks. And I'll add stuff to wishlist.
I remember in previous sales, you could just 'view all' for that sale, and then use the filters from there...which was much simpler.
It seems to only work for stuff that doesn't show a discount right off. I tried several items and it didn't show the 60% discount.
They all have a 40% discount to start with. Add 3 of those, and they'll show 60% off in your cart. (Unless not included in the sale.)
Ok, thanks. I only put stuff in that had the 40% - added 3 and it's 60%. Except for the membership - it did show that it was included in the sale but it stays at 40% while the other 2 are at 60% :(
Nope. A LOT of stuff isn't working, and if you look closely at the ad, you'll see that it is, in fact, NOT a storewide sale as a number of vendors are intentionally ommitted from the list. In fact, it looks like a lot of the usual "power hitter" names are missing like Fred Winkler, Sabby, Nikisatez, etc.
In going over it, it looks like most of the vendors who were already in the Floyd and Spring Fashion sales have been blocked out of the deal, so, for example, NIkisatez's products, which get a flat 40% off in the Floyd ad, stay at 40% no matter how many you put in the cart... even if they're also products by other vendors who are in the sale, with Niki/DAZ originals staying locked at 58%. That seems to hold true for every vendor in the Floyd ad that I've checked so far. Likewise, it seems like most of the items in the Spring Fashion sale are locked at the 60% in that ad (or 72% if they're DO/PA combo products.)
What makes it all weird, though, is that the PAs listed in the SPring Break ad ARE listed in the "Store Wide" sale list, though they all start with a flat 40% off and then DO stack up to 60% if you have three items in the cart BUT they DON'T stack the discount you're supposed to get if you put one of the new Spring Break items in the cart at the same time. Meanwhile, the discounts on the items in Fast Grab DO stack.
Finally, and most irritatingly, I need to go back to the point made above about how whatever has been done to the store this time around has the effect that, even if a PA is listed as participating in the storewide sale, if they have a partnered product with one of the ommitted PAs, that item seems to be automatically ommitted from the sale. Case in point, HInky Punks https://www.daz3d.com/fw-kieron-hd-for-genesis-8-male-and-li-kieron-whiskers which stays locked at the 40% off of the Floyd sale.
Add all of this together and it would seem to imply that DAZ is trying a new store algorithim/filter that eliminates most stacking sales.
Even some items shown in the DO list of sale items don't work fo me. Sweater Vest Outfit for Genesis 8 Male(s) and Sweater Vest Outfit Textures are in the list of Daz Original items in the sale, but they get no additional discount when added to the cart. This sale is broken.
That seems to be because Arien is one of the PAs involved on that product, who's one of the Floyd Ad artists who's NOT listed in the "storewide" sale, and all of their items seem to be blocked out no matter what other PAs worked on them.
I won't argue, though, that as a motivation to shop, this ad is pretty much a disaster.
This was queried last night - DOs will be included only if they are from a PA included in the promotion.
Then it seems like they should have been removed from the DO linked page from the Memorial Day sales page. But they have not been.
1 - Daz Originals is actually listed as one of the Vendors in the sale and many of the items that aren't working are shown when one follows the link. Furthermore, the number next to the Vendor name DAZ Originals in the ad actually shows a count of 10384 items eligible for the promotion. However, going to the sale page shows that the number of items actually available is 6554. That's actually higher than the total number of items in the DAZ original category, minus PC+ items (4587) even before new items, free items and items that are currently under a dollar are taken out, so there's clearly something very wrong with how this ad category is set up, since those are the only exclusions.
2 - The term "Store Wide Sale" generally means all of the items in the store except where specific exclusions are made in the text of the ad. However, no written exclusions are given in any of the ad promotions, or on any of the actual ad pages, except the ommission of some vendors from the sale in the list, and the specific text ommitting New Releases, PC items and items under $1.00. That's it.
Maybe what you quoted is what someone at DAZ intended, but they certainly didn't set any of it up correctly in terms of what they promoted or placed in the sale section itself.
Yeah, when I first went through from my wishlist, I ended up with a cart of about... 6? Items, none of which qualified. I had to go back to the sales page to see which vendors were on sale. Either a lot more are excluded from the sale than people think, or I happen to have a wishlist with a lot of items from the few vendors that are excluded. So yes, a "view all sale items" category would be (would have been? probably too late now) helpful. I don't mind that not all vendors are included, but it's been mentioned before that going through each vendor page is a time consuming process... and, well, realistically something almost no one is going to do.
Yeah -- there's some Sci-Fi items I'd like. I went through, added them to my cart and ... none of them had the discounts. I don't have time to search the other way, so think I will pass on this sale :(
...seems PC+ items are not included even if they are made by a vendor on the list. I placed one in with another item and the discount didn't change.
Nonetheless picked up a car model I had been wanting for a while (which never seemed to go on sale) as well as another shader utility I've been needing and even got to use my PA coupon.
At the bottom of the list of participating vendors, in small print, is the usual disclaimer regaring new and PC+ items being excluded.
..that's what I thought. Sometimes PC+ items can be a trigger for extra discounts. I even had monthly freebie trigger a deeper discount for other items I bought May have been a glitch but a very welcome one.
I realize that others have provided explanations as to the inconsistencies of the sale but I'm still confused. I had two items in the cart (Cowboy Textures and Royal Guard G2) which were kicked to the 50% off per the sale. When I add Classic Tuxedo Textures, it triggers the 60% off for the other two items, but remains at a non-Memorial Day Sale price. If the item is an exclusion, why is it triggering the 60% off for the other items?
But if I add an AntFarm product (which is not part of the sale, at least per the listed PAs) it triggers the 60% on the other items, and drops to a 60% off price point as well. ?????????????
Cybersox explained the problem very well in his post after yours. Daz has explicitly advertised specific items as being included in the sale, but those items do not recieve the 50% or 60% discount in combination with other sale items. This is confusing, misleading, and frankly unacceptable. If an error was made in the way the sale was advertised, it should have been corrected on the sale page. It has not been corrected.
