Fitting Highheels to Genesis 8 Females

Hello,

Been having a problem fitting highheel shoes and boots from Genesis 2-3 Females to Genesis 8 Females.

Mainly I do believe of the foot pose that comes with the shoe or boot. Is there any way fix this problem?

Cheers

Really high heels do a crappy job of autofitting no matter the generations involved. Basically your options are to either buy more G8 footwear, learn to rig on-par with the published artists, or try this tutorial and pray that it works: https://sickleyield.deviantart.com/journal/Tutorial-Convert-Clothing-G3-to-G8-G8-to-G3-686682065

(I've had some luck using the tutorial with modest platform heels, like the one for that dforce outfit with the bell bottom pants in the Alexandra Pro bundle, which I converted to G3 with somewhat successful results, so I assume it would be equally hit and miss from G3 to G8).

I found this works really well :)

Load up your G8 figure and deselect it.

    Load up your shoes

position and pose your shoes so they are lined up with G8's default pose

Now you can either send the shoe to hexagon and back via the bridge to create a new prop or go to edit->figure->rigging->convert figure to prop

now parent the shoe props to G8

then go to edit->object->rigging->convert prop to figure

the defaults should work fine (Triax weight map and with Inherit skeleton of parent checked)

    click ok

fit shoes to G8 using unsupported and done.

Manually parenting the shoe or boot is a lengthy option but can yeild the best results.  BUt I would recommend Sickle's tutorial listed above first as it can be quicker

Hey thanks for the info. Will try sickleyield method first and the prop as a backup.
