I got one of those too. Used it to make a static grass spreader for model railroad layouts and dioramas.
Swat it with one of those electronic flyswatters from Harbor Freight. Less powerful than a cattle prod, but still packs a mighty sting. Much cheaper, too.

Complaint: My new landlord has apparently decided that mowing lawn areas more than 5 feet from the house is bad for the wildlife. Consequently in the other half-acre of land around us, mosquitos are having a field day (pun intended). I worry about other small critters in there too because the people in the other side of the house seem to think that rats and mice don't like to come into the house or get curious about the garbage or consider that snakes like to eat rats and mice. I've peeked through the holes in the fence and see that it's a right jungle in there now. Kids would have a perfect place to play if it were mowed. But apparently the parents also believe children shouldn't play outside and should be allowed to run and scream in the house. Especially if the kid's favorite fantasy mountain happens to be their staircase attached to their broad wall that I share with my office/livingroom which acts as a perfect sound amplifying panel.
Also, the wildlife preserve that used to be a lawn in the back of the house now has a fine crop of tall poisonous flowering weeds encroaching into my parking space and beginning to surround the front of my car. This invites the mice to sneak in and "borrow" the soundproofing fibers in the fender and firewall panels to make their nests with. So far, they've discovered a route into the bottom of my driver-side door.
But thankfully they haven't taken up residence there yet. 
I never thought I'd have to consider spreading rodent poison in my car. 
This "lawns are bad for the wildlife" philosophy doesn't hold water in this town. There are only three streets. And no house is more than a quarter mile from extensive woodlands and fields. This is, in ways, a wildlife mecca. I've seen bears and deer and racoons in my driveway, but I'd rather keep the snakes, rats and mice and mosquitoes a bit farther away. At least to the other side of the street.

If I bite a bug it dies, but if a bug bites me I get annoyed. If I bite the bug which would be amazing since bugs are so much smaller than me, I would have to taste that bug and I do not eat bugs.

What is gout? I complained to the house lady about my heel pain. I assumed it was plantar something as that is what it was suggested when I explained the problem to others. No one brought up gout until now. I felt a little offended but not sure why.

Nothing is wrong with my toes. Only the heel. And only when I stand for long periods of time.
Yesterday we were giving out lemon candy during our free lemonade day special. I forgot to get any lemon candy yesterday. Today I asked if any of the lemon candy was left. There was. I expected to get a couple but the manager gave me the rest of the bag. A lot of lemon candy. Wish I could share some with you!

There are lots of possible causes for your heel pain. Bone spurs in the heel are another possible cause. Only a doctor will be able to tell what the cause is in your case. So, if it is really bothering you you need to see one and get a diagnosis.

As a homeowner, I have the Home Depot "no name" version of Glyphosate. Glyphosate is non-selective, meaning it can kill or damage most anything that uses leaves for photosynthesis. It's the same stuff that's in Roundup, which kills by entering the foliage and shutting off said process of photosynthesis. It only needs enough time to dry on the foliage and will not kill anything just by being in the soil or getting on the trunk (like trees). Also will not kill when dead plants are ground up, tilled in, or composted. Safe for kids and pets once it has dried.
As mentioned above, to keep cost down, I buy the $60 Home Depot house-brand concentrate in a 2-gallon jug and it lasts me about 18 months. But I'm a homeowner with broader areas of treatement. Most months I use it in a pump-sprayer, but in June, July, and August, weeds will grow very fast, so I'll sometimes use it in the bottle of a hose-end sprayer with a little bit of sticker-spreader to make sure it doesn't bead and roll off the leaves of some crabgrass-like weeds.
It does not work well in winter because most plants are dormant anyway. Works best when plants are growing, and even better yet when it has just rained the day before. Spray it on the grass, allowing for 30-minutes to an hour for drying time, and that's it. The glyphosate, once it dries on the foliage of plants, will spell their doom. Grass and weeds will die to crispy-brown in 4-5 days in summer; in 7+ days in spring and fall. The RTU (Ready to Use) may be more convenient for apartment dwellers who have small areas not managed by lazy landlords. It keeps fine in the bottle and breaks down in the environment.
Only for schorched-earth strategies, however. Don't use it on grass you want to keep or too close to your SO's prized knockout roses.
