Create Autofit Clones for other characters than Genesis?

Is there a process or way to create a "clone" for other characters than Genesis, that can be used for the autofit? For example, when you fit an item to Genesis, it lists the clones of the character it was for, and then uses that (I suppose) to map it to the new.

Is autofit (or the transfer utility) just geared to work with Genesis only, or any dsf/duf character? (I guess I should have asked that last part first)
