So I finally hooked up my new computer with a 1080 ti and Windows 10 but when I tried to create a scene, DS kept crashing when I was just working on putting makeup or posing a single nude character with no hair before I even came close to rendering! Then I hooked up my VR Oculus for the first time and it had me install a new NVIDIA driver and the VR works like a dream. BUT now I can't even open DS without it crashing! It immediately crashes as it opens. I noticed there is an NVIDIA control panel, am I supposed to configure this differently than default? I got the computer for using Daz but I don't want to mess up my VR either. Help please!

And even DIM is having problems. It keeps "not responding" when I click something, but then settles down. But high end VR works fine...
I sent in a ticket last week regarding crashing to tech support but still no response. Now it won't open at all. I was trying to upload the bug report here but the forum software won't let me. Can anyone (@RichardHazeltine ?) help?
Thanks!
Edited to say I could upload the bug report but it doesn't show as being uploaded until I submit...
Did it work before you installed the new driver? Which version of the driver did you install? Have you tried re-installing Studio?
Unfortunately, your zip can't be unzipped, it gives me error messages.
It was crashing just minutes after using it before while just starting a simple scene with one nude bald character when I first installed it. After installing the Oculus, it won't open at all. There is a folder on my desktop that may have been installed when I installed Oculus because there's an NVIDIA & AMD driver in there. It says NVIDIA package launcher version 1.0.7.0
Is this a self-build or a store-bought pre-build?
if it's a pre-build, there may be bloat-ware installed from either the store or the manufacturer which could cause the slowdowns.
You might just need to clear it and start fresh again. Hard to say at this point but mentioning you are having issues with things other than DS leans towards your PC rather than DS
The launcher version isn't really helpful, that is just the installation manager's version. Did you get a fan management program with your card? If yes, it should have an info button that tells you what driver version you have. Or you go into the system settings and check it out there.
In any case, I'd recommend you try downloading the most recent drivers: https://www.geforce.com/drivers
The March version is stable with DS: https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/132845
It is best if you uninstall the current driver, and then install the new one. The driver usually has the entire Geforce experience and VR stuff included, so you won't have a problem with that stuff missing.
Use DDU (if you find out it is driver issues), to uninstall the drivers, before installing new ones.
They (AMD and Nvidia) drivers often leave behind bits even when using their own installers.
