How to link new imported prop to character's left hand

Hey guys, I created and imported a few new props for Daz, and I wanted to have them fitted to Genesis 3 female's left and right hands. How do you go about doing that? They're saved as duf prop files, but I want them to be able to be loaded directly into her hands, like most weapon props you see in the store.

Thanks!

Position them where you want, then parent it to the appropriate hand, then save it as a wearable asset assuming you've already saved the base prop. If not, save it out as a prop asset first, then load it in from that, position, parent, etc.

  • Thanks for the help, but this isn't working. When I save it as a prop, then reload it, it somehow scales it back to the position and size the model was in when I first imported it. The same thing happens when I save it as a wearable asset, it doesn't save the pose, scale, or position.

Ok, so I got it to stay in position, but now how do I save it as a wearable asset so that it keeps the hand pose, and only the hand pose?

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it working. Thanks for your help!

When you go to save the wearable, there are tabs at the top. Click on pose and check "Include Pose Settings in Preset". Then uncheck everything in the properties except the posed parts you want to save.
