Anyone Running Three Instances of DAZ Studio?

I currently have Studio 4.8 and Studio 4.10 beta running side by side with no issues (I did that originally for plug-in compatibility and now I'm just lazy).  I want to use some older plugins for Studio that were never updated. I archive all my previous versions of Studio (luckily) so I have what I need, but is there a way to do an install of an older version of Studio on a different drive than the one I have running the more recent versions?  In other words can I run a third (older) version of Studio and redirect that install to another drive on my machine?

There is an "unofficial" way of running multiple versions of DS on your machine.  I use to do it on my XP machine but I have not tried it under W10 yet, and doubt I will.

You will need to briefly uninstall the version you have.  Then install the older version you want to have running.  After you do this, go to the folder its installed to and copy its contents to a new location.  I find it best to use 7zip to create an archive of it since you want to have it for future use anyways.  After you have done that, repeat this step for EVERY version of DS you want to have access to.  Please note, if you have the Beta copies of these versions, and the build numbers are the same, then you can just use the beta copies as they are already done up this way.  In the end, remember to reinstall the version of DS you want as the primary "installed" version.

I have 5 different versions both 64 & 32byte and can run them all at the same time  studio3A,  ds4.6   ds4.8  ds4.9 & ds 10  I just copy the orignal daz folder & rename it,  before installing a new version of daz and make sure to copy the orginal plugins folder as well.  I keep the plugins folder for each version right inside my studio version folder,It makes it easier to name each folder the studio versions your saving.  I can't say if this works for windows 10.  But it does on windows 7 running windows server

Thanks guys.  I suspected it was possible to do (and that there was probably more than one way to do it).  Appreciate all the detailed help (as usual). Cheers.
