Smart content

I know a lot of people hate smart content, but I love it. I have a humongous library and I lose things. (Been doing Daz/Poser since 2001). When you buy an item that doesn't have a smart content download option, like from another store, or older items, is there a way to have smart content find those things? That is, to put them in the Smart Content library?

Thanks!

Do you mean categorise (which you can do for a whole product or parts by right-click in the Content Library pane) or Smart Content (filtering by compatible figure) which you can do by dragging into the Smart Content pane while the base figure is selected (assuming the base figure is set up as a product).

Some addtional information if you are interested in digging deeper:

You can assign categories to any type of preset. Righ click "Categorize".

After that in Smart content you can browse to the category you created and find any presets there.

However if you want DAZ Studio to know what type of content you have selected in the scene and to show compatible material or pose presets you need to create "products" for content purchased in other stores. With the help of Compatibility Bases and Scene Ids presets and geometries are defined. Most of this advanced work is done in the Content DB Editor.
