"Hairy" problem with Luxus (LuxRender)

Hey Guys,

I bought Luxus yesterday and played a little with some things I'm very amazed with the results. But one thing that won't really is the auto-convertion of the hair. It looks very dry and plane (attached Image). I already looked in the luxus discussion threads but couldn't find an answer. Maybe i've overlooked it but with mor than 100 pages this could possbile happen.

Things I used in the scene:
Genesis 2/V6 with Norma Texture
Deeta Hair
Classic Deco Scene
3 Area Lights

I hope one of the luxus pros can help me out here. Thx in adavance! (and sorry for my worse english :))

    I would try the "Luxus - LuxRender material" thing, choose Glossy and tick the copy studio parameters and see what you get. From there i would play with roughness U and V.

    For testing purposes, I would reduce the size of the render in half so that it renders MUCH faster

    Ok, I figured it out. To get my hair to look right, I did NOT change it to a Lux material. The solution sounds counter-intuitive to everything we’ve been taught, but it works! I doubled the strengths of my diffuse (after changing to pale gray 192:192:192), my opacity, and my bump. In this hair product, that meant 200% for diffuse and opacity, and 0.60 for bump. Of course, you have to turn off limits in the parameter settings for these sliders.
    See for yourself: this render is with all of the gammas set to 2.2 and the diffuse, opacity, and bump strengths doubled.
