The Three Cs of being an artist.

I made a video about being an artist.

Applies to art and music (and every artistic endeavor) and how important balance is.

I tend to go back and forth about this and find myself repeating these same themes and so I made a video that expresses my sentiments on this.

Cursing should be the 4th C lol. Good video tho I bookmarked it to finish later, watched the first 5 mins, but really good :)

Swearing is the most popular language in programming - and my current job certainly bears out that claim.:)

Did you include the "screaming, crying and gnashing of teeth" too? Although, I have to admit, I did more of that with Poser (material room...need I say more?) Now I just swear a lot ;)

  • Great video.

I think Care really is the prime element that separates the really good artists from the average.  Attention to detail and the willingness to go that extra mile to make it as perfect as possible.  And this REALLY becomes important when one is not necessarily using hi end tools, since in many cases this requires a bit more work to achieve that effect/look than some one using the "best on the market".  It may involve increasing your skills.

This is one of those areas I still struggle with, since often I'm simply wanting to get the idea out in some form.  Then there are  those projects that take so long one simply tires of them,

It's one of those things one has to develop if they want to take their art to the next level -- the need to "get it right" no matter how long it takes. At least when one is working solely for themselves.
