    Hey everyone,

I just noticed this, and I'm not seeing anything else already posted about it in the forums so here goes. Over at the Planetside website where you can now pick up a free Terragen 3 version for download, in addition to the regular xfrog plants they offer as part of that deal, a separate download, they are offering for a limited time 150 free xFrog plants for download. Go over, click the link, put all the items in your cart, checkout, and then you click the individual links to download the versions you want. For instance, I chose the OBJ, Terragen 2+, and Vue 2014+ formats--but all of them are available once you checkout.

http://planetside.co.uk/ The offer is shown at the bottom right of menu of offers/info. Click that menu item, then click on the larger pic that comes up after selecting it. That should take you to the page with the downloads from xFrog directly: http://xfrog.com/category/samples.html?Affiliate=planetside. I'm not sure what's in the free pack that is available for download directly from Planetside, but don't forget to check out those freebies as well here (unless you already have those): http://planetside.co.uk/products/xfrogplants-free-samples. Looks like they are different from the ones offered at xFrog. Also, don't forget this sampler at the bottom of the page under the free download of T3: http://planetside.co.uk/products/download-tg3.

Good luck! I don't know how long these will be available. The 150 are supposed to be a limited time offer.

Limited time freebies are usually put in the limited time freebie list. The Xfrog ones are usually linked to there, when they change them.

I can't edit my first or second post for some reason.  I click "Post" or "Save" but nothing happens!

Why is that?!  The hair freebie posts have been updated a month and a half ago, but I can't updqate my posts?!  Why?

Since the forum software change the ability to edit posts made before the change has gone the way of the old Freebie archive, Dodo and dinosaurs...

Crap...  I guess my archives will never be updated, then.  A shame.  (I'm not adding new stuff on additional posts, that just creates a nightmare to navigate through)    Ugh, what a bunch of crap...

Wait, but how did the creator of the hair freebie pages manage to update her posts?!  Her first is from April of this year, and the second from July7  Or were those both prior to the forum update?

    I'm not sure...

I think the switch in forum software occured during the afternoon of July 7th.    I know I couldn't edit my lists on the 8th and commented on it then.

I've been thinking aobut starting the lists over...grab the list and transfer it to a new thread. with a link back to the original for comments/etc.

    I can't update my posts either ... unfortunately ...

  • I've thought about that as well, MJC.

Anyone who wants to redo a list.  Ask a moderator and we can supply the source code for the original post, to make it easier to duplicate.

I've thought about that as well, MJC.

I did that what mjc1016 suggested for my worldball thread. I think I viewed the page source in my browser (Firefox - Tools > web Developer > Page Source), cut-and-pasted the HTML for the OP into Notepad++, and then cut-and-pasted from there to a new thread. I think I did a bit of editing in Notepad++ too.

I don't think that the new post editor automatically adds links to typed URLs {edit: actually it does!} - here's a bit from your OP that I cut-and-pasted (page source -> Notepad++ -> DAZ post editor as noted above) just to see...

    ABIES (fir)

    ACER (maple)
    http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=69850
    Acer saccharinum (Silver Maple)

...looks like the new post editor is automatically adding links for typed URLs, so it might work for you.

  • Thanks for the offer, but, I don't need the sourcecode.  I can redo it manually-- that won't be any more difficult than copy/pasting the sourcecode since I have so many entries to edit (I can't remember about the other link threads, but this one I have backed up in a word doc)  I'll let you know when I'm ready to have this thread deleted :)

I don't know if this thread is still alive, but I saw it and figured I'd let you know about these things I have at ShareCG...

They are far less than awesome, but may be useful...

    Poison Ivy-(Toxicodendron radicans): http://www.sharecg.com/v/77548/gallery/11/Poser/Poison-Ivy

Weedy Grasses... No species in particular.

    http://www.sharecg.com/v/77990/gallery/11/Poser/Grassy-Patch

    Alien potted plant

I thought I posted a patch of weeds and an oak tree I made, but apparently I never did... Boy, I suck... Oh well, when I find them... I'm pretty sure I made promos for them, so they were probably ready.

  • I'd like to ask, are there any free underwater plants for DAZ Studio, maybe along with corresponding poses to allow for an underwater effect?
