Project Hairy 456 for G3M and G8M

i have Jepe's Project Hairy 456 for Daz Studio and i don't use M4 anymore but i thought maybe there was a way to use the textures on G3M and G3M. I was looking to use them in Photoshop with the  G3M and G8M textures that i already have.

how would i do this, i can't figure it out myself and I'm sure it would be obvious to all of you guys

Maybe with Texture Transformer if they are setup to coincide with the M4 DAZ Surfaces. Otherwise, try converting them to L.I.E. Layers that you apply but before you do that google how to to tatoos in LIE layers in DAZ Studio.

So I did this a few times in testing, but I can't find my test save files now. I will try another attempt at it this weekend to verify steps, but it went something like this:

    I have this:

    https://www.daz3d.com/legacy-uvs-for-genesis-3-genesis-2-male-and-michael-6

But because both products use geoshells I remember they "clashed" a little.

So if I'm remembering right, what I ended up doing was:

Load G3M, then use the Legacy UVs file to update the UVs and apply the geograft.

Apply the Project Hairy 6 (or whichever legacy UVs you used, 4 and Genesis would work as well) material to the figure like you would have to the geoshell.

(At this point, I believe some of the geoshell bits did not take the textures, but on the surfaces pane I could easily copy and paste the settings, like copying the arms to the shoulders and so on).

Then I loaded a second G3M to apply whatever skin and character I wanted.

One thing I remember having trouble with was that it seemed like sometimes I could just fit the first G3M to the second like clothing and it would follow the morphs and poses. Other times, it seemed to be doubling some morphs, or messing up the legs on poses. If conforming the "hairy" G3M isn't working, I just saved the morphs and poses from the main figure when I had them in place, and applied the poses to the second.

It sounds like a lot written out, but once you have done it once or twice it goes fairly quickly. The posing part can be a bit annoying.

All that said, if anyone knows of a quicker way of doing this, I would love to hear about it!

Well you need to learn to use L.I.E.. Start by learning to make tatoos. You'll need to use Gimp/PS/Substance but to get the basics learned for something like a body hair overlay a tutorial on making tatoos I think it going to be your easiest learning route.

Ask Darwin's Mishap if he has a tutorial on making lie tatoos. Or like women's makeup. And so on. Also search YouTube
