Remove a post

I would like to be able to remove a post in one of the forums.  Can I completely remove it so nothing remains or do I just edit the post so that it shows deleted?

Flag it and ask the mods to delete it. The mods have no problem deleting posts for all sorts of reasons so I don't see why removing a personal post you made but want removed would be a problem. You shouldn't expect them to remove any direct replies to that post though or edit those direct replies to remove your quoted portion of it, although they might, it's probably not in good keeping.
