Is there a list of updated files anywhere?

*sigh*...and is there a way of knowing what's been updated if you install manually? Hmm? Daz???

If not, why not? And why don't I get an email when a product I've bought has been updated?

TBH, that was the one of the two driving reasons for DIM - in the pre-DIM environment all the products were delivered as stand-alone executable bitrock installers with limited flexibility and we found out about updates when someone posted about them to the forum. Also, we were limited to 4 downloads; after that we had to request a reset from customer support - which they always granted, but they were only working 9 to 5 M-F.

Everyone wanted simple zip files and notification of updates. DIM does both. You do NOT have to install with DIM if you do not want to, but if you download with DIM you will get notification of updates. I download to a removeable USB drive at a wifi hotspot and then plug the drive into my main system at home for installation. It took me about 3 weeks to get everything downloaded with DIM after it came out - pretty much the best use of three weeks of download ever from my perspective.

You don't, I think, need to have the actual Zips even - as long as you have the matchng .dsx file (in the Downloads folder, not the ones in the Manifests folder). However, I haven't checked this for a while.
