Deleting Content

This has been discussed in the past but I was unable to find any recent information on the topic.
My questions is simple:
Almost all of my Daz content was installed manually by dragging it into a runtime folder I created so it does not show in the Daz Install Manager. If I Right Click -> Delete a piece of content from within the program, such as a character let's say, will it remove the associated files from the various runtime subfolders or only from the list under Daz Content Library?
Thanks

No, it won't remove any associated files - after all, how would it know if the asset was still needed by something else?
Good point - I don't have an answer to that but I also don't know what "it" is. I mean no disrespect just trying to clarify. I agree with you that it would not make sense that deleting a file would find all the other files in subfolders and delete them, I get that. I suppose it was a stupid question.
Not, I think, stupid - if things were organised differently then it might well be possible and reasonable to find and delete the associated files (indeed, unisntalling through DIM or Connect does remove all aprts of the product, though DIM knows to keep track of multiple products isntallng a single file and won't uninstall it until the last product is removed; Connect keeps each product entirely separate so there's no room for conflicts).
Thank you for the information. I have my Daz program and the Daz Content Library on separate drives which is why I find it easier to install it manually, that and I am just stubborn.
Well, you can change the default paths for DIM and for DS fairly easily - I don't use the default paths at all. DIM it's click the gear icon at top-right and go to the Instalaltion tab, in DS it's Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Content Directory Manager. Rob also has some scripts that can be used to sync DIM and DS:

Thank you for the input I will do that going forward but any tips on how to delete existing content?
