V6 belle skin texture renders even when hidden

Rendering some genesis boots autofitted to g2/v6 that require the feet to be hidden

V6's default skin Belle, though made invisible in the viewport (see screen shot) are still there when rendered.

Using the G2F default skin Bree the feet are hidden in the render as expected.

If I go to the surfaces tab and turn the opacity of the feet and toenails to 0 the the Belle feet do disappear.

Why would the Belle texture be ignoring the visibility settings in the scene tab?

NB these are the Gen/V5 version of the dx30 boots not the new V6 ones.

Why would you even hide the feet? Don't the boots have foot poses?

Genesis shoes still have some major fitting issues, which might be the primary reason.

Ooh... I just tested it out with another pair of boots and I see what you mean... ._.

They do have a feet pose for genesis but that doesn't work when autofitting to G2 so you have to hide the feet.

Is there a shader applied to the skin.
I am finding that things are showing up when opacity is set to 0 or hidden in the scene tab if both are used then the item seems to render invisible.
Its happening with the new SSS shader by Age of Armour and I have come across it with a couple of different shader presets.
