Yeah. I see it worked with only the new ones of the day. Unlike the last one they did. Still, the sales are very good.

If it's true the old DAZ Originals need to be bought in the same cart with the Newly Mad items which unlock the discount, DAZ should change the offer page to say so.

It does say so: "DISCOUNT EXCLUDES NEW RELEASES & PC+ ITEMS FROM MADNESS ARTIST CATALOGS"

??? The line you quoted still doesn't say it has to be in the same cart. I noice that someone did in fact go back and fix the offer's text, though.

It also didn't work if I put more than one Daz Original in the cart with the two (in my case) Newly Mad items. Worked fine and gave my $15 off, but adding an additional Daz Original change the pricing on both items. I read the offer several times and didn't see any mention of being limited to a single DAZ original.

It spread the discount among all the DO items. If you put in one more DO item, then the discount per item got less, but the overall amount should have stayed the same. $15 for two items meant (roughly) $7.5 off per item. Add one more DO item, and the $15 for three items becomes (roughly) only $5 off per item.

Ati's right that it spreads out the discount.

If you wonder why, consider that a discount might apply to several products from different PAs, all in the same cart. To be fair, any discount has to be spread out among the purchased products, so that all the affected PAs "share the pain" of the discount, rather than just one person getting stuck with lost profit for the entire discount.

Obviously in this case the PA taking the hit is DAZ, but the shopping cart system works the same way no matter what kind of products you're buying.
