Custom Tan Line Using Bikini Model G3F
I've been googling for a solution for a while now, and while normally I can find one. I couldn't for this.
Using Daz 4.10.
I've tried using the bathsuit as a geoshell with a nice shader I made, but because its not touching the body in all spots it has blotches all over. Sorry I can show pics here.
I know I could do it using L.I.E. But I don't know a way that I could impose or copy the bathingsuit to the skin. I'm not explaining that right, but I know that if I could get the bathsuit template/layout on the skin. I can black everything out, and make the bathsuit white, and I can use that as a diffusion.
But I'm not sure how to go about getting the bathingsuit on the skin. Maybe there is a product here that will let me do that? That would be awesome. I read in this post something about shader baker but couldn't find it anywhere, or maybe I misunderstood the concept.
I have a few other products like a crop top which are All Limited to the Torso texture.
I am of course open to other suggestions on how to do this. I have a beginners knowledge of using Blender (I use this for morphs) and Blacksmith (I use for tattoo's on seems, mostly the back) if these can be used, but I'm not sure how.

Any paint program that uses layers will do, like Photoshop or Gimp. Put your tanline layer on top of the skin layer, and set it to Screen mode to mask out the black, and reduce the layer's opacity to the amount of tan you want. Save out the image to jpg, and you're done.
I get what you're saying and that part I know. I know how to use Gimp. But your saying put the black/white tan layer on the skin. I get that too. What I don't know how to do. Is get the Black/white tanline layer for specific bathing suits/clothing. This is the issue that I'm having. I'm sure there is something super simple and I'm over looking it. Or maybe its not that simple.
You probably want to bake ambient occlusion to a map, then use that as a mask. I'm not sure easy (or possible) it would be to do that in DS with Shader baker, I'd use one of my other applications (probably modo).
I've managed to get something working using Blacksmith and its projection brush. Then mapping the results in a geoshell. Its a process to get it properly, maybe someone has a better/faster way still. I hope. Lol.
Ah, you want to project the bikini texture onto the skin texture, and then mask it out? Hmmm. I've never done that before, but yeah, I think it would require a 3D projection tool. You can't do that with your basic paint program.
I agree with you @Dave230. Sorry was playing with this still. Was the best that I could get was using the projection tool. Its not Perfect. It takes a while to do one. Though at least I can reuse them maybe in another scene for something. It is at least reusable on any cahracter that I've tested so far.
