I have a pretty decent computer system--two Nvidia GEForce 1070 cards, 32 GB RAM...byt sometimes DAZ was running slow, or crashing.  I had no idea, and searched the forums for a long time before I found the issue--it's the fans on the graphics cards.  So if you are well above the specs for DAZ and still have crashes while rendering, or slow performance in graphics-heacy moments, download MSI's afterburner (it's free) and adjsut the setting to keep your fan running and your GPU's nice and cool when you use DAZ.  Renders that used to slow down and take a half hour before simply crashing now are done for me in a few minutes.  I think I can feel comfortable working with the latest stuff now--I had been running on G1, G2 etc to take system load off, since I ahd no idea why I had slow performance/crashes.  Keep your GPU's cool, and they wil render quickly for you!
