D-Force Wind node?

Hi,

Found and added the Wind node (under Create drop down menu... not sure why this isn't intergrated into the Simulation panel but hopefully in another DS build.  Anyway I have been playing around with this and not getting really any noticable effects using it, a bit but I guess it totally respects a figure that may be in front of it but realistic wind will wind it's way around, up and down when blowing cloth regardless of what's in front of it, unless it's a really big something like a wall.  So wondering if anyone has some settings that can share for blowing cloth, like say a cape or a billowy robe with allot of cloth back but having the wind node in front of a figure. Thank you!

  • Ive played with it some. Unlike the old system, you can position the dforce wind node where you like, hieght, direction, etc. Also, you have to consider the fall off perameters. If you outfit is notwithin the falloff zone, you get no wind. The defaut node is pretty small as well. Increase the diameter of the node to affect the desired area. You can also use multiple wind nodes. Remember to hide objects that you dont want interacting with dforce and wind but remember that if the wind dosent detect those objects, you will also not recieve any wind resistance from those objects.
