OT: can anyone read chinese and help me translate this??

Apologies if this is not chinese, I truly have no idea. The entire instruction sheet is in it and there is no english at all, and for the life of me, I cannot work out how the keyboard desk insert goes. (I'm putting together a desk) I've done all the rest, but this bit defeats me. I'm hoping the text here actually tells me what to do as it looks like one is meant to be upside down which doesn't make sense, and I can't work out the slide out bars. :sigh:

I can confirm that it's definitely Chinese, but I can't read more than a few scattered words of it.

What's the name of the brand and desk model? Maybe we can find English directions online? :)

Usually by looking at the components you can see what is supposed to fit where. Look at it like a puzzle you have to solve. :)

Do you have a picture of the assembled model (from a catalogue, or a photo of the box maybe?). It might help to know as much as you do and things might not be what we imagine from the line drawing.

Hopefully it's all in one piece for you soon! :)

I can read a lot of Chinese - but some of those words are defeating me - I've got to run to class now, but if you haven't got it worked out by tomorrow, I'll see if I can cobble it together with the help of my wife and/or the Chinese dictionary.

i found a photo online at the store my brother got it from, and while it did show in the photo what to with the four plastic bits and the spare top that were NOWHERE in the manual, I still couldn't figure out the keyboard return. LOL.

However, my husband came to the rescue and took one look at the components for it, and did it in about four minutes. :sigh: Of course, now i have to make a point of telling him how he's my hero and my poor weak female brain couldn't figure it out...... NOT. lol.

Thanks everyone for the help/advice! We got it figured out - despite the fact that half the screw holes didn't line up with the screws (gah), the desk is now up. :)

And i still can't figure out how that keyboard drawer worked, but it's put together and working fine now. LOL.

Of course you realize the natural ability of a male's grasp of spacial reasoning is also why we never ask for directions when driving. yes  But that doesn't explain how we got lost in the first place. blush  Perhaps the female was reading the map for us? cheeky

It's been suggested that female brains are good at remembering terminal conditions i.e. remembering where a particular road branch will get them to (hairdresser, doctor's office, etc.) but sucks at knowing which way is north.   indecision

I have a suspicion that it's the curlers in their hair or those antenna-like hats that mess with their magnetic perception. devil

Cool - I have a policy with these things: If it works, don't question how LOL

I was about  to post some vague translation - it's one of those that, if I were looking at the pieces, I could figure out - but that diagram with those labels alone didn't give you all you needed.  Something about using the 3.5cm phillips-head screws and the 'yellow cut' screws...
