Before I put a ticket in, I want to check that it's not me doing something wrong and is easily fixed.
Applying one of the eye makeups on G3 from the https://www.daz3d.com/extreme-closeup-smoldering-pastels-for-genesis-3-female but it seems to be changing the entire face. See screenshot.
I'm using https://www.daz3d.com/cailin-for-victoria-7, in case that might have something to do with it.
Is it just me doing something wrong? Is there some way I can fix this?

In my experience, this is what happens when LIE adds a partial normal map to a figure that doesn't have one. Just turning normal strength down to zero (or adding a normal map to the face before applying the makeup) should fix it.
or could be a translucency setting
I have the same problem with the product Izanami. Neither the G8 nor the G3 versions work ( I was careful to use the right material set). I get a yellow mask over the face when I choose the yellow eye shadow. There do not appear to be normals associated with the surfaces. Translucency weight set to about 75 % gives a non-yellow color that is indicated in the Diffuse overlay bar, but no eyeshadow and a distinct pale skin. Honestly have no idea what I'm doing in the Surfaces tab.
I don't have Extreme Closeups Smouldering Makeups, but I do have some of the similar sets - I tried Cailin using one and get exactly the same effect you are getting.
Uthgard is right that the problem is with normal maps. The makeup product is trying to add extra information to the normal map like it does to the diffuse, bump, etc. If you are using a character like Cailin or Izanami that has no normal maps then this produces a partial map which renders all wrong. It works fine for characters with normal maps like the base characters (I tried Bethany 7, Gia 7, Litlith 7).
Probably needs a ticket - though as Uthgard says you can do a fix by removing the normal map from the "Face" surface.
@IceScribe - the way to do this is to open the Surfaces tab, expand the list of surfaces, click on "Face" then scroll down until you get to the item named "Normal Map" - click on the little square box at the left under that title and select "None" near the top of the pop-up list you get.
ETA: Funny, I'm almost certain I must have used Extreme Makeup on a character other than a DO Base when I first bought it but I don't remember any problems. Maybe recent versions of DAZ Studio have changed how it works somehow?
I remembered I still have DS4.6 (pre-Iray) installed and tried Cailin in 3Delight there - even worse, with the makeup added her face renders almost black! I guess I must have only tried the product on DO main characters.
@IceScribe : Glad that worked for you. Did you raise a ticket about this?
