right now I have a G8M in my scene. the only morphs and stuff that pop up are for G8M.
Is there a way to allow the female morphs to be used or even vice versa, male on female? I mean head morphs for instance.. nose, mouth, etc
Female character, HD characters, etc on male figures?

It seems there needs to be a setting that allows all morphs to be used .. or is that all a part of the smart content thing. Sometimes it would be good just to have full offer of all products for whatever character you want to mess with

    That's why I use Genesis 1;) It's all there!

With Genesis 1, it's all there.

With Genesis 2, you can transfer a morph from one to the other by copying the file and making a few changes with a text editor.

With Genesis 3 and 8, it's not so simple, nor are the results as perfect, but there are a couple of ways.

With HD morphs, it's not possible.

What changes need to be made in a text editor?  I have never heard of this one.

Change all instances of "Female" to "Male" (or vice-versa), and either add or remove a "1" after one instance - I don't remember exactly where, but you can find it by looking at existing morphs.

Also, if the file is gibberish, it's compressed. Add ".zip" at the end of the filename, and unzip it.

I have many more merchant resource morphs for G8F than I do for G8M, so my two celebrity look-alike morphs for G8M were originally sculpted on G8F with the G3M legacy morph applied and then transferred to G8M.  It took a bit of finessing, but Poser's morph transfer capability did most of the work.  This was enabled by the fact that the base shapes of G3 and G8 essentially differ only around the shoulders.  Their heads are at least virtually if not completely the same.

Also, I agree with Sven Dullah, if I had my way, Daz never would've dropped the transgender morphing capability of Genesis 1 from subsequent versions!

well you should be able to using clones saving target as an obj at base resolution and fitting to the other  using transfer utility to transfer the favourited morphs to create a morphloader obj for it
