Talking in Tongues ... or why doesn't it work?

davesodaveso Posts: 7,793

G3F ... G8F .... the tongue only comes out a little bit..actually not beyond the lips. Why is that?
Is there a way to stick the tongue out? move it all about?

I notice that most of the morphs do not allow much motion. They nearly all seem limited. Is there a way to unlock them?
I did try to unlock the tongue using the right click, settings..it say lock or unlock, but thaqt did not bring about any increased sticking out of the tongue.

That's more like it...but how do you turn off the parameters?

Just a general question which may be related to this:

Is this what they mean when they say turn limits off on some of the pose packs?

Yes, the tongue for gen 8 is ridiculous. The tongue control product helps but people shouldn’t have to buy additional products for the tongue to behave fairly normally.

Click where indicated in the image and choose Parameters settings, then in the box that pops up untick Use Limits

nope .. perfect timing laugh . the question up above also on turning limits off when posing .. is that from the same deal? I note even the arms, etc only go so far .. maybe to simulate real joints, but sometimes you need to extend things a bit.

To turn rotation limits off (for poses) see the image. Make sure the figure is selected in the scene tab.

Another option is to ignore the morphs entirely and lengthen the tongue by increasing the z scale of the 4 tongue bones, no additional products needed to do this.

Why not just have the tongue work properly without having to extend parameters or change the tongue? I mean  the human tongue should be able to go outside of the mouth without this song and dance...
