my issues with PD Howler 11.2b

Hi, I'm new here at this forum. I am also new to PD Howler or any version for that matter. Just tried using it on my pretty new Windows 10 desktop PC. It has lots of storage and is pretty fast. It's a 64-bit Windows 10 OS. The problems I'm having are the following:

1. in browse for media, the panel shows all the brushes... but there are none at the last 4 categories of brushes. That for me is: Particles, Bristles, Orbicles, Foliage. I did see that all 4 categories had "Brush heavy" loaded in each of them for some reason. not sure why there are not other brushes there.

2. Nothing in the color swatches (maybe I missed something, or do I have to make my own swatches). The only color in the swatches is pure black.

3. Nothing in the info panel on left of PD Howler 11.2b for me.

4. There is nothing in the panel when I click View-->Color-->Dogwaffle Color Picker-->Themes. So, is this an experimental feature, or even still in the making. There is nothing except a close button and a slider bar that doesn't really work, and that's it in that feature from what I saw.

5. Any time I click the Pattern button in the Brush Settings Panel, it shows an error saying there was a problem with PD Howler 11, and then my only options are to wait for a solution from where ever it's coming from or to press the close button. Then if I close the window with the error, PD Howler closes automatically.

Quick note: I bought the version 11 on Steam, then upgraded from TheBest3d website, and I thought I got the Steam download version of PD Howler 11.2b. Not sure if that helped or caused my issues.
