Need help what is PostgreSQL CMS connection?

Hi all,

Just installed Studio 4.10 via install manager. However, when I open studio I get an error box that says a valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established. I'm using windows 10 64-bit and installed the correct version of studio. I also checked my firewall but nothing alerted me that studio needed to be let through. So where did I go wrong?

Did you install only the DAZ|Studio program? PostgreSQL is among the free content that comes bundled with the program; you need it to run your content database. Check in the install manager to see if PostgreSQL is installed, or if the installation failed. You might need to uninstall it, then reinstall.

You can ignore that if you decide not to install it; depends if you want it on your system and your intentions over Connect.

I never use Connect, and have in the past not installed the SQL, but it spams a log file if its not installed which causes needless writes to a disk (not good on SSDs), so I decided to let it install. I just never logged in to SmartConnect.

I have never got that to work on my system. Richard, render gods bless him tried his best, but to no avail.
