Has anyone used this resource?

Over at the other shop, there's a product called "Convert It! - Iray to 3Delight" by vyktohria.  I mainly use 3Delight, so I would love something like this... but I would prefer if I had heard of anybody else using it.  Is anyone familiar with this product?

...didn't even know a commercial conversion resource existed.  There is an Iray to 3DL conversion script that I know of.

It's not perfect though but it works.

The 'Convert It' I found at 'tother place is specifically for converting G3/G8 characters; it is not a general conversion tool. As it is currently at $3.88 I took a punt.....

It uses omHumanSurface as its target.

Here are two very quick test renders of https://www.daz3d.com/kande-and-musoke-for-genesis-3-and-8-female, one is the straight out of the box conversion, the other I have tweaked the diffuse channel down. My initial impression is that it is much, much quicker than a manual conversion but may still require tweaks. At least with omHumanSurface you don't have the faceplant time that AoA_Subsurface inflicts on you whenever you make a change!

There are actually 2 Iray->3DL convert it apps over there, both by the same PA. One for converting character shaders, as mentioned by Nattaruk, and another more general one, although mostly for converting clothing textures.

Thanks for asking about these. Im interested myself. Since video card prices have soared, I think im going to pick these up just in case my vide card dies and puts iray out of reach.

Thanks for trying it out!  Looks like it does a decent job, a great start anyway.  I think I'll spring for both products, since they're so cheap right now. Iray just doesn't work very well for me, and I'd hate to have to learn a whole new lighting system at this point.

    Oh, OK, thanks.

Bought them, and so far they seem rather nice.  The one for "everything" has different shaders for different finishes, like metal, shiny plastic, and velvet.  The one for characters has different settings for G3 and G8 males and females.

Will render something to compare with as soon as I get a chance.

Ok, the one on the left is a model originally in Iray, with a 3Delight shader provided by the creator.  Clothes and hair have included 3Delight material options used.

On the right is the same character and clothes, with Iray options used.  I then used the proper character shaders from "Convert It! - Iray to 3Delight Characters" on the character.  For the hair, I used the Plastic shader from "Convert It! - Iray to 3Delight", and for the clothes I used the Basic shader from it.

As you can see, I apparently need to play around with bump and/or displacement, but I think it did a pretty decent job.  It's much better than my previous method, which was to use a stander Daz "Shader Cleaner" on things and then reapply every map and setting myself.
