When one part of your character's wardrobe stays frozen when you pose the character???

Hi, have a genesis male chartacter and i added a shirt, pants and shoes. I can apply a pose to the chracter and the clothes move with the character as you would expect. I recently added a dogtag necklace to the character and positioned it as I would like, but now when I apply a pose the necklace stays frozen in place, while the character and his wardrobe move into the pose.  I see the dogtag necklace has a parameter  - it's something like 'point to' and then you can select an object. I tried sleecting the Genesis character.. and that did not fix the issue.

Is there a trick to getting this right?

Parent the necklace to his neck bone by dragging and dropping it in the scene tab.
